Meet the team: David

Ok so you’ve met me (Eliza), your new writer… now it’s time to meet some of the awesome RMIT Store team!!

Let’s start with David, who I asked to answer some questions about his time working at RMIT.

What do you do here at the RMIT store and how long have you worked here?

I am in charge of our retail operations and sales. I make sure the store is running physically and digitally, so the City and Bundoora teams can do the selling. I also look after our internal RMIT departments, providing them with merchandise to give out to students and staff. I have worked at the store for 2 years and counting but I have been at RMIT for 12 years now, spending the first 10 years personal training in our city gym.

What is your favourite thing you can buy at the store, and why?

I am a fan of my Fairtrade Pocket Hoodie. The fit and feel are fantastic, and I can wear them every day, even when loading and unloading deliveries thanks to the breathability of the 100% cotton fabric. Not to mention it is produced in a Fairtrade factory.

What’s your favourite place to eat at RMIT?

I regularly eat at College Dropout. They are my number one burger shop ever and the guys there are great. Everyone should get lunch there, but after me so that I do not miss out on a burger.

So, if you ever have the chance head down to the store and you can meet David (although he is rarely in the store, you may just catch him!)
