Our popular Pitch Night with the AGM beforehand.
AGM! This is where we discuss how the club has run this year and how we want it to run next year. Have your say and vote for the next Committee. We must have at least 20 club members in attendance to confirm Meeting Minutes and Financial reports, and most importantly elect our next Committee. For the Club to continue we must elect at least the four Executive Committee Roles: The President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Two of these positions must be filled by current RMIT students.
To put your name down for a Committee Position: please send filmmakers.club@rmit.edu.au your full name and the position or positions that you are interested in. Send before Saturday 12th September. Committee will be voted for at the AGM. See role information below.
Pitch Night! Whether you’re a writer, director, producer, or cinematographer, this is your chance to pitch your project to an eager audience of filmmakers who want to help make your film! Or if you don't want to pitch, come along to watch and maybe join a short film crew.
At the end of the night, the audience will vote on their favourite projects for an exciting prize! There will also be the opportunity to put your name down as potential crew.
If you want to pitch please fill out the powerpoint template linked on instagram or can email it with details of your project and send to the RMIT Filmmakers Club email for approval by Saturday 12th September latest. No unapproved pitches will be shared.
Pizza and drinks included. Members only event, tickets $5 mandatory.

Committee Roles: The President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Two of these positions must be filled by current RMIT students. We can also elect other positions such as Social Media Coordinator and Events Officer. We as a club would also like to promote diversity and inclusion and want our Committee to reflect this.
We will provide orientation documents and there will be support from previous leaders as well as from RMIT Student Life who manage all RMIT Student Life Clubs. The Committee should work as a team to spread the work load. We estimate the time commitment to be 1-3 hours per week plus events.
President: Set club goals, lead Committee meetings, oversee the organisation of events, host events, and manage the Club overall. Understand RMIT Student Life Club rules and policies and make sure the Club abides by them.
Vice President: Support the President and undertake their responsibilities if the President is unavailable. Help meet club goals, attend Committee meetings, oversee the organisation of events, host events, and manage the Club overall.
Secretary: Understand RMIT Student Life Club rules and policies and make sure the Club abides by them. Keep on top of admin including Meeting Agendas and Meeting Minutes. Attend Committee meetings and help organise club events.
