Part of the award-winning RMIT Design Archives Journal series, this beautifully produced print edition brings the Archives’ collections to life through scholarly research, archival material and distinctive visual storytelling.
Fashion and Textiles 1994–2024 celebrates 30 years of RMIT’s fashion and textile design collections. Conceived as an archival lookbook, it offers a glimpse into the garments, textiles and teaching collections that began with the RMIT Textile Resource Centre in 1994 and later helped form the foundation of the RMIT Design Archives.
Through essays and rich imagery, the issue examines the role of collections in teaching, research and creative practice, while celebrating the material and sensory qualities of fashion and textile design.
Printed on premium EcoStar+ 100% Recycled Uncoated Indigo White 350gsm stock, this journal is published by RMIT Cultural Collections / RMIT Library Services and measures 29.5 cm high by 21 cm wide.
