Join the RMIT Redbacks and compete against student athletes from across Australia at major national sporting events. Our teams are celebrated not only for their competitive success but also for their inclusive culture and strong sense of community. The Redbacks have a proud tradition of achievement.
In 2023, we dominated Nationals by sweeping all possible gold medals in Tenpin Bowling and Men’s Cycling. The momentum continued in 2024 with Men’s Beach Volleyball and Tenpin Bowling crowned overall champions, Taekwondo athletes all medalling, Men’s Hockey claiming silver, and Lacrosse securing bronze. In 2025, the Redbacks delivered another standout performance: Taekwondo competitors earned three gold and three bronze individual medals, the Women’s Basketball team captured gold in Division 2, Lacrosse claimed silver, and Tenpin Bowling achieved bronze in the overall individual standings.
