Description

The 300ml Sentient Mug is a beautiful fusion of cultural heritage and modern design, featuring the captivating artwork of Hollie Johnson, a proud Gunaikurnai and Monero Ngarigo woman from Gippsland. A 2016 RMIT Bachelor of Photography graduate, Hollie’s design is rich with meaning and tradition.

The artwork symbolises the interconnectedness of life’s journeys, using triangles and diamonds to represent men, and circles and semicircles for women, all within a unique pattern of Black, Red, and Yellow to honour ancestral ties. The design reflects the evolution of nature – from the sun (yellow), land (green), and sea (blue), with intertwining lines representing the paths we take, both short and endless.
