Volunteer Expression of Interest – Australian Goalball Championships 2026

Be part of something special at the Australian Goalball Championships 2026, proudly hosted at the RMIT Sports Centre in Bundoora.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a national-level sporting event, experience Goalball at a highly competitive level, and contribute to an inclusive and exciting sporting environment. Whether you're completely new to the sport or already part of the Goalball community — everyone is welcome, and no prior experience is required.

Volunteer Roles Available

When registering, you can indicate one or more preferred roles:

• 🥅 Goal Judge – Signal goals and assist with retrieving and returning the ball
• ⏱ Timer – Manage the game clock and stoppages
• ⏳ 10-Second Timer – Monitor and enforce the 10-second rule
• 📝 Scorekeeper – Record scores and key match details
• 🎙 Commentator – Deliver engaging, energetic match commentary
• 🙌 General Volunteer – Support event set-up, pack-down, and overall operations

What to Expect

• A short briefing and role-specific guidance before you begin
• A welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment
• The chance to experience high-level Goalball up close
• Flexible shifts — volunteer for part days or full days

What to Bring

• Comfortable clothing
• Closed, supportive shoes
• Water bottle
• Any personal items you may need for the day
• A positive attitude and willingness to help

Please note: Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or responsible guardian.
