Motorsport Club

RMIT Motorsport was established in 1999 as the RMIT Racing Team, building internal combustion-based Formula Student cars till 2022. In 2008, an all-electric branch of our team was founded as RMIT Electric Racing. In 2023, these two teams would merge to become what we are today.

Formula SAE (FSAE) or Formula Student (FS) is a challenge for universities across the world, to design, build and race an open-wheeled racing car each year. These vehicles are judged on dynamics, design justifications, costing strategies and business presentation & skills.
