RMIT Run Club is an inclusive, student-led running community created to help students meet new people, stay active and enjoy running in a welcoming social environment. We welcome everyone, regardless of their pace, experience or fitness level. Our focus is not solely on running performance, but on making physical activity easy, accessible, enjoyable and social. Alongside our regular weekly runs, we organise rotating routes, post-run socials, themed experiences, collaborations and occasional special events. Whether you are an experienced runner, completely new to running, or simply looking to walk, jog and meet new people, RMIT Run Club offers a supportive community where everyone can participate at their own pace. This reflects the club’s broader purpose of combining accessible physical activity with student connection and social experiences.

Anyone is welcome to join. Whether you are looking to start walking, jogging or running, our club is open to all experience and fitness levels.
There is currently no membership fee.
We generally organise one social run each week. Our routes rotate and may include Albert Park, The Tan and beach runs, as well as occasional surprise or themed events.
We do not discriminate based on pace or distance. Most of our weekly runs are approximately five kilometres, but members are welcome to walk, jog or run at a pace that is comfortable for them.
Not at all. Many members join us for a walk or light jog, while others attend mainly for the social activities before or after the run.
Just bring yourself, preferably wearing comfortable running shoes. You may also wish to bring a water bottle, particularly during warmer weather.
Where possible, one of our committee members will remain at the meeting point to look after members’ belongings. Any specific arrangements will be communicated before each run.
We monitor the weather forecast when planning our runs. If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, we will postpone, cancel or adjust the run and notify members through our WhatsApp group and Instagram.
