FAQs

Where do we operate?

As a club we tour around the state and NSW (although most of our trips are to Echuca, Victoria) to various ski and board locations. Travel is not normally provided, however many of our members drive and you can arrange to carpool with someone. If you’re new don’t be afraid to email us about transport or ask other members on our Facebook page!

What to expect from a trip with us?

Our trips normally consist of 2-5 day trips where we camp along the river banks and occasionally at caravan parks so you’ll need to be comfortable with camping and being outdoors for the length of the trip. Make sure you get you hands on at least a tent, sleeping bag, mattress and camping chair (esky is also reccomended, see event info for a full list of what you might need).

The club has a good BBQ and equipment trailer that comes along on every trip, we will either supply food for the whole trip OR for lengthier trips we often run as BYO food and members are free to use the BBQ and club cooking equipment to cook your own food. If you need any assistance with this just let us know!

For camping trips, campsite facilities will consist of just portable toilets, so those wanting a shower will need to head to a nearby servo or into town (15-20 minute drive).

All of the information about each specific trip will come as a Facebook event so make sure you read all the event info to find out how that trip will run!

How do I find out when trips are?

All of our trips will go up as Facebook events, so check the events section of our Facebook page to find out when they are along with all of the trip specific info. If there’s nothing there, that may be because it’s winter, or we haven’t posted our next trip yet! So keep an eye on the page or you can ask us when our next trip might be.

Is there anything else I need to know?

When your not on the water you can enjoy the sun and get to know other members. Other universities also attend most of the same events we go to so there is a chance to mix in with a bigger crowd. Our current boat is an Axis T220, which can seat up to 15 people at a time. This means plenty of fun on and off the water!
