✅ Getting Ready for Class
To keep everyone safe and comfortable, here is a checklist for your gear:
No-Gi:
Tops: A rashguard or tight compression shirt works best! (Please avoid cotton tees as they can stretch or tear).
Bottoms: Fight shorts or athletic shorts without pockets/zippers (to prevent finger injuries).
Pro-Tip: Spats/leggings are highly recommended for extra skin protection.
Gi:
Please bring a freshly washed BJJ or Judo Gi.
Street clothes aren't suitable for these sessions.
🤝 Respecting Your Partners (Hygiene & Safety)
🚫 No offensive odours
BJJ is a close-contact sport, so looking after your hygiene is the best way to respect your teammates.
Cleanliness: Please ensure your body and gear are clean before hitting the mats. If you use the restroom, please wash up thoroughly
Scent: Deodorant is your friend! Please avoid heavy colognes or perfumes.
Nails: For everyone's safety, keep fingernails and toenails trimmed short and smooth to avoid scratches.
