We are a SCUBA club associated with RMIT that have been making a splash in Victorian waters for over 45 years! We are a community of people who share a common love for the beauty and wonder below our amazing oceans.
The club is a great opportunity for divers of al levels, from beginners to experienced divers to enjoy the great diving Victoria and beyond has to offer. While we exist under the RMIT Sport umbrella we are open to the wider community, be it alumni or a random SCUBA diver that found us on google!
When you dive with us, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at under-water photography, reef diving, wreck diving, drift diving etc.
We meet socially as a club at the RMIT City campus once a month, where we discuss club business, plan dives, listen to guest speakers or watch dive videos. Swing by and say hi, these meetings are great opportunity to meet fellow members of the club before you commit to spending time in picturesque coastal locations with us!

We are a highly active club, aiming to arrange day dives at least once a month. The club consists of a wide variety of members of all skill levels, from freshly certified to Dive Master veterans you'll be sure to learn something new and improve your diving expertise!
The club also has a diverse membership base of all ages and backgrounds, so is a great place to socialise and meet new people.
Yes, we do require that all members are Scuba qualified to dive with us. It does not matter which association you are qualified with, though we most commonly see people with PADI and SSI qualifications. There is no requirement to go beyond the standard 'Open Water' qualification.
We do not usually offer Scuba courses. Though it is a common question, so we happily help arrange group courses at times when there is enough interest to try and get you a discount!
The club has all the 'expensive' stuff that you may not have, including Tanks, Regulators, Dive Computers, and BCDs. We also have a boat called "Shambles" that we use on trips (capacity of 8) and a portable diving air compressor for our longer trips to refill the tanks.
This gear is provided to club members *for free* as a part of your annual membership cost. The only costs you will incur are running costs, such as the cost to refill tanks at a dive store or petrol for the boat.
We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 6.30pm at the RMIT city campus for our monthly meets. This is where we plan and discuss upcoming dive trips, and afterwards go to the pub for a feed.
We aim to dive at least once a month for a day trip (boat is launched from Sorrento boat ramp) and we also have two annual trips over the Easter and Melbourne Cup long weekends.
