Continuing in 2018 is RMIT's affiliation with the Richmond Rowing Club! We established this partnership because students were looking for a way to row in their time as an RMIT student. Now you can! Rowing for Richmond Rowing Club means you have full access to all of the member benefits as a Richmond Rowing Club member, but at a discounted rate!
Richmond Rowing Club is a vibrant, friendly, community based club located centrally in Melbourne - just near Flinders Street Station. The club was established in 1863, and is one of the oldest in Melbourne. Over 100 Richmond Rowing Club members enjoy on and off water activities that provide a fun and challenging environment in which to compete and reach their goals. RRC provides the opportunities for whatever you are looking for, whether that is to get fit, meet new people,compete or even if you never have rowed before.

Full season membership cost for RMIT students is $440, which includes Rowing Victoria registration fees. Race fees are in addition to this, and dependent on which races you participate in. This is consistent with all RRC members, as well as is standard procedure for all boat clubs. If you join mid-way through the season, part year memberships are still available.
If you are an experienced rower, contact Richmond Rowing Club to arrange to come along to their monthly open day and enjoy a quick row before submitting your application to join.
Training times will vary depending on your level of experience and interest in the program! Usual rowing times are early mornings and evenings. if you are new to rowing, Richmond Rowing Club runs learn to row programs annually or based on demand during the year.
