By purchasing this membership you agree that you meet the requirements for this membership product as outlined.
This will be verified after purchase before membership activation and if you do not meet the specified criteria, your purchase will be voided, the transaction reversed, and this membership cancelled. However, you will be able to purchase another membership that you will meet the eligibility criteria for.
General Age Requirements:
- Membership applicants must be over the age of 18 at the time of applying for membership, or
- Be a current RMIT student who is aged between 16 to 18, for which additional requirements apply, which includes
- Providing a completed parental consent form
- Acknowledging and accepting by purchasing the membership that there are limitations on the ability for the club to provide a safe space for these minors to participate in some aspects of the club, and as such you may not be able to participate in any specific trip.

Personal Information Required to be supplied to ROC:
This information is necessary for your participation in ROC trips and events. It is your responsibility to ensure that this information is provided accurately and in a timely fashion, via the methods specified in the purchase notification email. The following is the information that must be provided, with the specific requirements for it.
- Your Email Address
- MUST be the same email as the one you used when purchasing your membership through RMIT Student Life.
- For RMIT students, this MUST be your RMIT email, to be eligible for student membership pricing
- Your Contact Phone Number
- MUST be an Australian number (all international numbers will not be accepted).
- This should be a mobile number.
- If you are only able to provide a landline number, then please be aware that there will be restriction applies when participating in ROC:
- To be a driver on trips
- To be a trip organiser/leader
- To hire any high value equipment
- To attend any trips where it is deemed likely that participants will not stay as one group
- By not providing a mobile number, you accept responsibility for any consequences based on an inability to effectively and immediately contact you

Emergency contact info.
This MUST be a person residing in Australia, and can NOT be someone who is also a ROC member. You must provide the following information:
- Emergency contact person’s full name
- Your relationship to the emergency contact
- Emergency contact’s contact number, MUST be an australian number and preferably a mobile number
You can provide us a secondary contact, for those who have parents / next of kin residing outside Australia, which will also be listed
Failure to provide any of this information appropriately will mean that your membership can not be activated until you rectify those errors, for which you will be contacted by our membership admin team.
Terms and Conditions of Membership
The following are the key terms and conditions of membership with ROC Inc.
- That your membership is only active once you have been sent confirmation of such, or that 30 days have passed without having been sent any correspondence regarding provision of additional information or rejection of membership
- By purchasing a membership you agree to follow all of ROC and RMIT Sports governing policies, which includes but are not limited to the following:

- Refunds will only be offered in specific circumstances. For information on refunds refer to ROC refund policy.
- You also acknowledge and agree that your membership may be terminated, or other penalties/restrictions/disciplinary action applied, potentially without notice in extreme situations, if you do not fully comply with these conditions
Rights of Members
Once you have purchased your membership, and activated it as per the process outlined in the purchase confirmation email, then you will be able to perform the following actions as a member of ROC Inc:
- Request to participate (sign up to) in ROC trips and events
- Access gear hire as per the ROC gear hire policy as outlined on the website
- Access training subsidies as per the ROC training subsidy policy as outlined on the website
- Apply for the ROC Adventure Fund if eligible
- the general rights of a member as outlined in section 13 of the constitution
If you breach any of the conditions outlined previously then some or all of these rights may be suspended/revoked.
